LVMH Elevates Three Key Executives in Human Resources

The illustrious reputation of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton as a nurturing ground for talent continues unabated, particularly within its human resources department. On Tuesday, the French luxury powerhouse revealed a series of appointments that underscore its commitment to internal development across various regions and business sectors.

Leading the charge is Paula Fallowfield, who has been appointed chief people officer for LVMH Americas, effective April 1. She will operate out of New York and report to the company’s chief human resources officer, Maud Alvarez-Pereyre. In her role, Fallowfield will collaborate closely with Michael Burke, chairman and CEO of LVMH Americas, and other regional leaders to drive growth and capitalize on talent opportunities within the group. Fallowfield’s previous tenure at Moët Hennessy as executive vice president of human resources since 2022 saw her modernizing the HR function and promoting an inclusive workplace culture.

As noted in an internal communique obtained by WWD, Fallowfield boasts an impressive background, beginning her career in 1995 at Harrods, followed by the establishment of her own executive search firm, Fallow & Co. Subsequently, she held various roles at Burberry and Natura & Co.

Claire de Coincy is set to succeed Fallowfield at Moët Hennessy, stepping into the position of chief human resources officer on March 23. Reporting to Jean-Jacques Guiony, president, and CEO of LVMH’s wines and spirits division, de Coincy is expected to concentrate on employee engagement, diversity, and talent development. Her track record has been marked by effective partnerships with leadership teams to encourage a people-centric approach within organizations during her time as chief human resources officer of LVMH Holding & Other Activities.

De Coincy, who graduated from ESCP Business School, began her professional journey in marketing at L’Oréal before transitioning into HR, amassing a wealth of experience across the industry, including stints at the renowned fashion label Chloé.

The LVMH Fashion Group has similarly announced Anna Briem as the new chief human resources officer, effective this week. Reporting to Pietro Beccari, chairman and CEO of the Fashion Group, Briem steps into the role previously held by Vincent Coubard, who retired after over three decades with the company. Briem’s mission includes leveraging the group’s internal talent to enhance the growth of iconic fashion houses such as Fendi, Celine, and Givenchy, among others.

Having joined LVMH Fashion Group from Celine, where she served as global human resources director since 2017, Briem’s extensive background includes early career experiences at companies like Disney and BIC.

In an empowering statement, Alvarez-Pereyre lauded the three women for embodying the core values and aspirations of LVMH as they undertake these new roles. Their noteworthy internal relocations exemplify the group’s unwavering commitment to fostering and promoting talent from within.

Complimenting Coubard’s significant contributions to the Fashion Group, Sidney Toledano, a key figure in the organization, acknowledged his professional excellence and keen insights within the fashion landscape, highlighting the lasting impact of his leadership on the company’s teams.
